Everytime i have to stay out of my city ,the taste that i miss the most is Phuchka! The spicy tamarind water is unique to Kolkata. If you are acquainted with the Taste of Kolkata's Phuchka.In Delhi or Mumbai for example the golgappas are often eaten with sweet chutney,but trust me! nothing beats tamarind water of kolkata's phuchka.
These Days we dont find houses stopping Phuchka Walas and auntys and ladies of the house lined up near the phucka wala .When i was young i always thought phuchka must be made with something that made people laugh.I was watched Kakima's and Aunty's in our house giggling while enjoying Phuchka.My first bite to Phuchka literally happened when i was 5yrs old.Needless to say the Mirch almost set my mouth on fire but trust me by the age of 8-12 i started competing my aunts (offcourse in phuchka eating competetion not giggling :P)
As Teenagers we Fanasized a lot about Phuchka Near Basantidevi College.
But Slowly we started exploring various other
For example Dilip Da's Phuchka near Vivekananda Park
Not Just common people us Various celebritys who are Phuchka Lovers Also are kind of fond of this place.
People arriving from various Parts of the world have also loved the Taste of Phuchka That you get near Golpark,Meghamalhar.
If you love kolkata's Phuchka ,GOLPAPPAS and PANI PURIS would not actually satisfy your taste buds.
